Healyx was on a mission to provide quality NPWT (negative pressure wound therapy) to developing markets that couldn’t afford all of the bells and whistles of the average device. They needed to package a simple set of electronics with a pump and make it easy to carry for patients. This device would be used in settings that may not offer all of the benefits of a hospital or clinic which in the western world.

Affordability and ease of assembly (and disassembly for maintenance) were top priority. A simple plastic enclosure that offers two grips, while keeping an eye on the footprint, proved to be the best balance.
