UBTech Walker Robot

UBTech was developing a large human-size robot as a foundation for a broader robotics platform. With motor position and size defined, and flexiblity with the structure, a soft and friendly exterior was sculpted. This design incorporated ventilation, illumination, speakers, and optical sensors all while removing pinch points.

As a testament to the quality of this design; years later the same basic leg geometry is being used in UBTech’s updated large robots.
